COVID update: 06.04.2021 

Farm Park:

We are opening our outside areas from 12th April 2021. Tickets must be purchased online.

Roosters Diner:

6th - 11th April our Roosters Diner is operating as a Takeaway service only, as per the government's instructions. 

Food must be taken to your vehicle or off-site to consume. We apologies but you can not eat at the tables and picnic benches.

From the 12th of April Roosters Diner will be open and operating its full delicious menu. Benches and seating will be available in the outdoor areas only.

Our campsite will be open from the 12th April for self-contained units only.

Bookings are now being taken.

From May 17th our camping facilities will fully reopen as per the government's guidelines. 

Jurassic Live & Egg Venture:

These outdoor Children's activities are running daily 6th - 11th April.

COVID Compliant: 

We reopen we will of course be operating in a fully COVID compliant manner.

Please do not visit if you are self-isolating or if you or anyone in your social bubble have been in contact with anyone who has recently tested positive or showing symptoms of coronavirus. 


Visitor numbers are limited and you must book prior to visiting. 

Please refer to our terms and conditions prior to booking and please ensure you are fully accepting of our T's and C's before booking.


Health and Safety:

We strive to ensure the best possible visitor experience in the safest way we will always put health and safety first.

We take our responsibilities to our customers, our staff, and our suppliers extremely seriously.

With this in mind, we have implemented new restrictions, guidelines, requests of respect to others, and strict rules.

This is to ensure that we can continue to provide a great day out whilst being mindful of the seriousness that Coronavirus brings and the actions we should take to limit the spread of infection or transmission.

Please take some time to read through our guidelines and the rules and responsibilities that we all must adhere to prior to visiting and whilst at Thornton Hall Country Park

It is essential that all members of your party understand the importance of all of the guidance issued too.

Our on-site signage is clearly displayed and it is important that you and your party follow our site rules at all times.

If any item is unclear or not understood then please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to advise you.

 Book Online

Book online:

To ensure we can meet the government's guidelines regarding social distancing we will be open but with limited capacity. All bookings must be made online via our booking system.


Some areas and attractions are closed:

Please be aware that not all areas of the farm park are currently open. 



Please follow UK Government guidelines regarding the appropriate use of face masks.


Please DO NOT visit us if you are sick:

We respectfully request that you do not visit us if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.

Wash Hands

Wash your hands

We have numerous hand washing stations and hand sanitizing stations throughout the farm park. Please ensure you use them at every opportunity.

We have also put in place a more rigorous cleaning regime throughout the day for all of our facilities. 


Health and Safety Reports

To ensure we are following all guidelines we have undertaken various assessments with our qualified H&S consultant and have implemented new measures to benefit everyone.

Staff Training

Staff Policy and Training:

Our staff have received additional training to ensure we meet the guidelines set out by the UK Government. All staff will be temperature checked daily and no circumstances allowed to work if they display any COVID related symptoms. 

Social DIstance

Social Distancing:

Whilst on-site at Thornton Hall Country Park please ensure you practice good social distancing etiquette at all times. This may mean you have to queue for a little longer than normal in some areas, but please be patient. 


Roosters Diner:

Roosters Diner is open and serving delicious food - instructions for ordering and collection of food will be clearly signed. All tables and seating have been organised so that you can social distance from other visitors.

Track and trace

Track and Trace:

We have a legal obligation to provide the contact information of all persons on-site to the UK government's Track and Trace team if requested.

Fear Fields Important Info




  • Please do not arrive earlier than your slot time.
  • Please expect to queue for up to 45 minutes.
  • Food is available should you arrive early. Please ensure you do not miss your slot time should you wish to order food prior to the event.
  • If you do plan on arriving before this time to eat, please make your way to the entrance where our check-in staff will direct you.
  • There will be access to the toilets at this point


  • Our diner is open for delivery service ONLY from 5.30pm through to 10.30pm.
  • Food can be purchased before or after your slot. Food can be ordered over the phone and delivered to your car.
  • If you plan on eating prior to your slot, please make sure you are not late for your scheduled slot.


  • Please ensure that the people in your vehicle are from the same household / social bubble only.
  • Tickets are limited to 6 bodies per car / unless you are from the same household or social bubble as per government restrictions.
  • We remain a COVID safe site and adhere to all guidelines and regulations.
  • Health & COVID 19 We ask that you do not attend should you feel unwell or have been in contact with anyone who has any of the COVID 19 symptoms.


  • Vehicles must be no wider than 7ft and no more than 8ft high
  • Wide vehicles must ensure their wing mirrors are turned in upon entry to the entrance tunnel. 
  • You MUST remain in your vehicle at all times unless you are asked to leave for any reason. 
  • Should you leave your car at any point, please only do so if you are asked to and do not wander away from your car.
  • We ask that you do not arrive in a lowered or modified vehicle as this will not be suitable to drive around our track.
  • Your car must hold valid insurance and an up to date MOT.
  • Ensure that you stop your car engine when arriving in each scene and do not restart your car until asked to do so. Actors will be on hand to give instructions. 
  • Cars must travel at 5mph unless being asked to stop.
  • Your car may become damaged or tarnished and we cannot be held responsible for any such damage.
  • The driver will be responsible for any damage and injuries that may occur, due to the fault of the driver, our staff, our performers, or anyone else associated with the event.
  • Guests MUST wear their seat belts at all times and doors should remain unlocked in case of an emergency.


  • Please obey rules at all times. Any physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave without a refund.
  • No person under the age of 12+  (from 9 years of age at the parent's discretion) will be allowed into the attraction and they must be accompanied by an adult(s), who is/are fully responsible for the conduct and the safety of the child.
  • The driver is responsible for all passengers in the car.
  • Do not smoke on the route.
  • Do not throw rubbish.
  • No alcohol or banned substances are allowed on the premises. Anyone under the influence of any substance will be asked to leave with no refunds given.
  • You are not permitted to bring alcohol, drugs, or any equipment that may harm anyone.


  • Our event uses lots of effects, including strobe lighting, smoke, and special effects. If you suffer from epilepsy or any other condition affected by the use of these special effects we ask you do not attend this event.
  • We do not recommend you attend the event if you are pregnant or suffer from any heart conditions.
  • Dogs/animals are not permitted into the attraction.
  • Actors may touch any part of your vehicle
    Please be aware that we may have a photographer or press on-site.  Photos taken will be used on our social media platforms.

Experience hands on animal encounters on our traditional working farm here at Thornton Hall Country Park. Climb on board our Safari Ride and take a trip up to our Deer Park then enjoy some delicious food in our onsite diner while the little ones burn off the remainder of their energy in our huge fun filled Play Barn… a fun filled, informative family day out, RAIN OR SHINE!

We only allow Guide Dogs on to the farm sorry for any inconvenience.
