Mike Dilger and his team from BBC's The One Show were filming in the North of England for a ‘Snow Special’ about the 'Beast from The East’ and how the harsh weather was affecting businesses.
They approached us (Thornton Hall Country Park) and we were delighted to help out! We are open 7 days a week and all our animals need our attention - even more so in severe weather conditions.
Farmer Benny (Peter Benson) our Lifestock Manager did a fantastic job in front of the camera and the whole team couldn’t wait to tune in and watch 'The One Show' later on.
Thornton Hall Country Park are now a Learning Destination for Children’s University! From February 2018, details will be sent to local schools wishing to take part in this fantastic education initiative.
Pupils can gain passport credits each time they attend the Farm Park and complete certain activities (eg. Lamb Feeding, Animal Petting, Egg Collecting, Safari Ride).
